School Closure Notice!

In effort to keep our students and staff safe, Theodore Roosevelt School will be closed until March 27th. Administrators and governing board will monitor and reassess the COVID-19 coronavirus situation.

Some spread of the virus might be possible before a person has symptoms. Please help keep your children and the community safe by

  • teaching children to always cover their cough and sneezes
  • washing your hands with soap and water (or use hand sanitizer after touching your face, using the restroom and before you eat
  • cleaning frequently touched surfaces and objects (everyday household disinfectants) Some of the most frequently touched areas are door knobs, toilets handles, and sink handles

Theodore Roosevelt will begin taking lunches (with breakfast for the next day included) to 11 drop off spots locally.  Details of locations have been mailed to parents.

Home of the TRS Warriors!

Theodore Roosevelt is a 6th-8th grade day school and boarding school. It is the only boarding school on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, serving students from the local community, as well as Native American students from various other tribal nations.

From our outstanding music program to our pre-engineering program and everything in between.

Our schools offer excellent opportunities for students as they prepare for their future.

21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)

21st CCLC is a federally funded, competitive, grant program designed to support the establishment of community learning centers serving students in high-need school buildings. Funding is provided by the federal government through the “No Child Left Behind Act,” “Every Student Succeeds Act,” and is administered by the Bureau of Indian Education.

These grants are awarded to projects that offer a broad array of services, programs, and activities during non-school hours or periods when school is not in session (such as after school or during summer recess). The three goals for this grant program are:

  1. improve student learning performance in one or more core academic areas
  2. increase social benefits and positive behavioral changes
  3. increase family/community engagement to support student education.
